AI visibility tracking under $20 a month

Last updated:

Most AI visibility tools are priced for marketing teams. For one person with one store, the useful options at the bottom of the market are a handful of free checkers, a by-hand method that costs nothing, and a very short list of paid plans under about $30 a month. This page lists what we found, and what each one leaves out.

We make SeenScan, so weigh this accordingly. Every price and limit for another product on this page was read from that company’s own pricing page on and links to it. This category re-prices constantly — check the source before you buy.

The free ways to check first

Ask ChatGPT yourself

Open ChatGPT, make sure web search is on, and ask the question your customer would ask: “best [your category] for [their situation]”. Note which brands come back and which sources are cited. It costs nothing. It is a snapshot, answers vary between sessions, and you will not notice a slow decline. The full method is in how to check if ChatGPT mentions your brand.

Of the pricing pages we read, one paid plan is under $20 a month, and the next two start at $29:

If $19 is still too much, the by-hand method above is a legitimate answer: do it monthly, write the results in a spreadsheet, and you will catch the big movements. A longer list is in Profound alternatives for small brands.

What a $19 plan leaves out

A cheap tool that oversells itself is worse than none, so here are the limits:

What you keep: daily checks, live web search, the full citation-gap report, and the ability to cancel whenever. Plans are on the pricing page.

Whether cheap tracking pays off

It depends on what the free check shows. Run it first.

Questions people ask

What is the cheapest AI visibility tracker?

Among the pricing pages we read on October 1, 2026, SeenScan has the lowest paid plan at $19 a month, with daily checks on ChatGPT and Gemini. Otterly Lite and Wellows Basic are $29 a month. For one-off checks, SE Ranking’s free checker and SeenScan’s free first result cost nothing.

Is there a genuinely free AI visibility tool?

For spot checks, yes: SE Ranking offers 5 free checks a day, AthenaHQ has a free Essential tier, and SeenScan’s first result is free without a card. Continuous daily monitoring is the paid part everywhere we looked.

Can I just check by hand?

Yes, and for some brands you should. Ask ChatGPT with search on the question your customer would ask, note which brands and sources come back, and log it monthly. You will miss gradual changes but catch the big ones.

What does a $19 plan leave out?

SeenScan’s $19 plan covers one brand, up to five competitors and ten questions a day on ChatGPT and Gemini. It has no Perplexity, Copilot or Google AI Overviews coverage, no team seats and no data export. It does include daily checks, live web search and the full citation-gap report.

See what AI says about your brand

SeenScan puts your customers’ questions to ChatGPT and Gemini every day and shows you where you’re named, where a competitor is named instead, and which pages to go earn. Your first result is free and needs no card; daily tracking runs on a 7-day trial that does require one.
